Gr-r-reat!!
This is just absolutely amazing to me. We have gone from the bottom ten last season to the very top in the league standings this season. The summer has been amazing with our Tigers. Lets just hope they do just as good in the playoffs. The big question these days is, "Are the 2006 Tigers as good as the 1984 Tigers?" (which is the last time we won the World Series). The 1984 Tigers were amazing. I was a big Tiger fan in those days. I had posters of Kirk Gibson on the walls in my bedroom. My mom was friends with the then General Manager and we used to get box seats right next to the dugout. Those summers surrounding I practically lived at Tiger Stadium. It was a great moment the day they won. I’ll never forget it, and after 22 years, we need it again.
I wonder if Dan is happy that Detroit is doing so well. I have not heard from him in so long. My Padres are 2.5 games out of first place. Ryan hasn’t been playing this year. He will probably be traded this next year. I am going to STL on the 25th of Sept to see the Padres and the Cards. Making a memory with the 8yr old son going to the New Busch stadium the first season the Cards are playing there.
And how about them Dodgers?! 🙂
They are on fire! Just heard today that their winning streak is a new record. Woohoo! Maybe we’ll have a Detroit/LA world series? Kinda strange since a few years back it was Detroit/LA in NBA finals….you never know!
Padres are going to kick the Dodgers butt. keep dreamin’ Laura.
I won’t even mention the Cubbies – they s**k this year! Just getting caught up – how was the wedding – and how is your leg? Take care
By the way, I think we jinxed the Tigers and Dodgers with this post…they both lost on Wednesday! 🙁
